Removed the cylinder heads today. The heads are E7TE heads. The pistons indicate a re-manufactured block. The part number stamped on the pistons is 273AP .040. That translates to Sealed Power cast pistons.
So, unless the machine shop has a some wild voodoo, that block/engine is unusable. Options are to re-sleeve if the block is good or discard.
The heads might be useful. The rockers are in excellent shape and can be used on the other set of E7TE heads.

17 May 2020 - 302 Roller cam engine
I have looked up the block numbers and the engine is a 91' block and it is a roller cam engine. I am in the process of tearing down the engine to take to the engine shop to check if the block is suitable for rebuild.

3 May 2020 - Steering coupler replacement
Soon I will be replacing the steering coupler/rag joint. The original one is still installed. Although it looks fine, the "rubber" shock isolator material is no longer flexible.
I bought a replacement from WCCC. The part number is 10121. Will replace that some time during the summer, looks like its a bit of a pain to do with the engine installed.

3 May 2020 - Engine Battery replacement
Had to replace the battery recently. The old battery was dated from 2015. So now the car starts/charges without issues.
I bought a group 35 battery, 550 CCA.
