I sanded the cowl vent area, wiped down the area and sprayed 2-3 coats of Sunrise Red Rustoleum enamel. After about 20 minutes I removed all of the newspaper and tape that was covering the rest of the car and let the cowl vent area dry. The can indicates that a recoat can happen after 48 hours or I can put down a clear coat after the 48 hour time.
What I will do is this, wait 48 hours then scuff the paint and put a couple more light coats of red down. Wait 48 hours then put clear down.
