Removing the old seal took about 2 hours or so to completely remove and clean up.
I used mineral spirits to help with removing the old sealant. It worked very well. I then used denatured alcohol to clean the seal surface of the trunk lid and also to clean the rubber seal.
After all of that, I used a 3M weather strip adhesive 08008, applied it to the trunk lid and the seal. Installation of the seal wasnt too bad. As I applied the seal, I taped it and when all of the seal was installed I cut it to fit. I cut it 1/16" too short, hopefully that wont matter.
